Love Made Me A Fan

They met in a bar during the 2010 World Cup. He was already a fan. Love made her one.

Ten years of marriage, a child, and five World Cups later, they are still watching together. Their story is a reminder that football is always bigger than the game. It carries culture, identity, memory, politics, and belonging. The social world around it matters. The bar, the crowd, the strangers who come together for ninety minutes. But within all of that, something private can happen too. A glance. A conversation. A shared moment. And sometimes, in the middle of a game watched among strangers, two people find each other.
