Through Sharing, You Become a New Yorker
Meet Georges Forgeois. Twenty-five years ago, he opened Bar Tabac. "We're not a fancy restaurant," he says. "We're the soul of football in Brooklyn for the French people."
On the day France faced England, hundreds packed inside. They cheered. They argued. They danced. Georges has lived many lives and came to New York with almost nothing. Now he looks around his café during a World Cup match and sees people from everywhere, shoulder to shoulder.
